About Kamille

Hi I’m Kamille and this is a little online journal of some old thoughts & reflections, recipes and a general view of the beauty of life-giving hospitality. I share more about creating space for people the way Jesus did and does. He’s really great like that ya know. Sitting with the outcast, the sick, the sinners, the unloved. His heart was one of truth & Spirit.

I see throughout Scripture this picture of a set table for all to come and partake, but not everyone does. Hospitality is this for me: setting a table, creating a space for others to be seen, heard and loved. Not all choose to sit at the table and I can’t force them. All I get to do is set it.

Also, food at the table brings us together in a way that other things cannot. So I share recipes. Most of these are from a long time ago (circa 2008-2014). I stopped blogging at my old place, ‘Redeeming the Table,’ around that time when my older brother Willy died of a heroin overdose. In the years that followed, I began growing flowers, and more specifically, dahlias. You can find more of that at my business Kamille’s Flowers.

As life has ebbed and flowed, I have found myself longing to get back in the kitchen, further my education in becoming a certified life coach and possibly writing a book someday. For now, I stay busy nurturing my family of five and taking advantage of these years before they leave on their own adventures. Thanks for joining me.
